Longboat’s Neighborhood Grill
The Dry Dock features casual indoor & outdoor dining overlooking Sarasota Bay . Known for having one of the freshest grouper sandwiches on Florida ’s West Coast and awesome char-grilled burgers, the Dry Dock is popular with locals, professional athletes, celebrities, and visitors to Longboat. And what’s not to love? From the dockside patio, the view of Sarasota Bay is obstructed only by shady coconut palm fronds, Adirondack chairs and pelicans hanging out on pilings. You’ll enjoy the same panoramic view and food indoors, but you’ll get the added entertainment of watching the dumbwaiter bring food up and down. The Dry Dock is conveniently located at the south end of Longboat Key at the Boathouse Marina.
The Dry Dock features a beautiful open-air roof over a portion of the bay front outdoor dining area. Guests can enjoy outdoor dining year-round as the roof provides protection from wind, rain and sun. The roof features twelve skylights providing natural filtered light for the covered outdoor dining area while providing protection from the hot Florida sun. An electric, state-of-the-art wind break system is incorporated into the roof allowing diners to enjoy outdoor dining during windy and rainy conditions. Of course, on more pleasant days, guests can choose to dine at a table not under roof, with or without a market umbrella. Either way, you’ll find outdoor dining at the Dry Dock to be a pleasurable and enjoyable experience unlike any other on Florida’s West Coast.
Our Commitment to Quality & Freshness
We serve only fresh, never frozen, Grouper, Amberjack, Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, & Stone Crab Claws purchased from local fishermen from the Gulf of Mexico .
